For average driving, it sure does feel like it handles better. That's because it's not as stiff, so the chassis is allowed to shape to more road imperfections than it used to be able to with the brace on. However, if you ever tested it on a track, it certainly wouldn't apply there.

My front sway bar disconnected inadvertently due to a failed fusion weld (from Eibach) at Mid Ohio. Handling was a handful...snap and sudden oversteer. I don't recommend driving spiritedly with no sway bars, particularly the front. Disconnecting the rear bars would dial in too much understeer.

I've done two track events with the rear bar disconnected. It was a lot of fun on a small track because you can really control the car with the throttle with some power oversteer. The rear end sticks really well and it is easy to modulate the throttle, but it understeered severely with the rear bar disconnected and 550F/250R springs. On a big track, the car just didn't feel right with the rear bar disconnected, so I decided that was the end of that experiment.

I wouldn't try disconnecting the front bar since it would probably feel like crap on the transitions and would lead to tires rubbing in front.

I got a stiffer front bar (Tri-Point modular w/0.188" torsion bar) and reconnected the stock 93 rear bar since then. I also switched to 450F/350R springs. It understeers just a bit at the limit on my local uphill on ramp, but I was able to carry more speed without getting scared. I still need to get out to the track with this setup, but initial indications are good.

Assumtion is that tires and alignment are equal in both cars ....

You might try the 94+ rear bar, which is smaller and may suit your style better.

I did run 'no bars' briefly with stock springs and touring shocks .... felt kinda wobbly with lots of sway, so didn't push it.

Sway bar or shock tower bar? They are two very different things with similar sounding names.
