Am I nuts? FD front suspension in FC...
I want to fit 275's in the front, but I know I couldnt do it with the FC struts without having the wheels stick WAY out. I do plan on making fiberglass fenders for the front, flared to take up the extra room from the tires. These will be complete fenders, so i wont have to worry about the edge of the stock ones interfering.
The fabrication involved for mounting the upper control arm isnt a problem. Am I going to have any other problems with tires that wide in the front?

275's up front? Christ. lamborghinis don't even run that big of a tire up front. Unless you're gonna have 500hp I think 245's would be sufficient. Wouldn't a tire that wide up front effect turn in response?

I dont think the geometry will be a problem. The person who is going to help me is a chassis builder. He builds tube-frame circle track cars, and knows his stuff, as far as suspension stuff goes. He uses some pretty wild adjustable suspension mounts on his race car. I will probably use something similar on the upper control arms.
Im considering this for my vert. Its getting a built 302 Ford, eventually to be supercharged. I am going to need a lot of tire in the back, but I still want the car to have balanced handling, and a whole lot of grip front and rear. Im looking to get 315's in the back with fender flares, and trimming of the stock fender lip. The bodywork is the easy part.

Heh, I have an FC that makes a clunk every time I get hard into the gas after being on the brakes. It's not the diff mount though, I have it welded! Unless it's broken. I was just thinking about FD rear suspensions actually, since the FC one is crappy in that there is no way to adjust camber on the individual wheels!
