There used to be a few sets in the wanted/for sale section:

He ordered them from Rishie at Auto RnD, always nice to support a forum vendor
The nuts aren't very deep, esp on the 15mm. I can see how if you're not careful torquing them the socket could slip off.
I have to say, I was surprised by the quality. I wouldn't hesitate to run these on my FD on the street

I am now in the hunt for 99 spec wheels and when I see how much nicer it looks with the spacer I am thinking about getting some, however I don't know much about spacers and have a few questions:
1_ I looked at Ichiba's website (thanks Mahjik) and well, they are not cheap at all (I know, I know nothing's cheap on this car). Are there any other reputable spacer brands a bit cheaper or is it pretty much what you have to pay for spacers (I assume it's one of the thing you don't want to cheap out on right?).
2_ I have not searched extensively on this but what are the pro and cons of running spacers apart from cosmetic?
Thanks,

You know the answer, get quality spacers. Your wheels are kind of important, you probably don't want something failing on you at highway speeds
Re: your second point, it may exert more stress on wheel bearings and lead to an earlier failure rate, but I've never seen concrete evidence of this. If anyone has any, feel free to post it up.

Hey guys, I have finally got a set of these 99 spec babies (it has been a long story), I am going to weigh them soon by curiosity and I'll post the results. Thanks again for all your inputs everyone.
Another question I had was about the tire size. I wanted to go with:
F 225/45/17
R 245/40/17 but tire rack called me back to suggest rear should be better with 255s, that way the overall diameter matches exactly between front and rear.
Fair enough but I wanted 225 & 245 so as not to modify the car handling too much (255 is 13% with increase compared to front when 245 is just 8%) and I thought I might as well get you guys' input again.

I decided on these wheels also because I found them for less than $200 on yahoo auctions and they're big enough for racing. I picked up Nitto NT01 235/40/17 and 255/40/17 from discount tire for $714 with heat treatment.
Wheels are really cheap in Japan for some reason, but tires are really expensive. So I got the wheels from Japan and the tires from America.
Here's a picture of the old 18" WedsSport wheels I am taking off. I'm taking them off because 1) I don't like the style 2) This car is only for the track so these are too heavy 3) 18" tires are too expensive

Back to the front... after reading Gene and Rich’s comments on the spacers on the 99 spec rims...I ordered a set of 15 and 20 for my car through Rishie’s site. Wish the pics had disappeared to compare but I know it will look less dated.
Rich - did you remember if you had to roll the fenders any?

Sorry, just saw this old post while trying to figure out if the 17" '99+ spec wheels are forged or not (still don't know... but I suspect not. Anyone know?)
to answer the last post, NO, you will not need to roll fenders for 8J+35 (f) and 8.5J +30 (r) unless you run unusually wide tyres or have a bad alignment (positive camber).
I ran 18*8.5 +33 with 225/40 and 18*9.5 +38 with 265/35, and those barely required rolling of fenders (no pull), but you should be fine with the above.

They're cast, and there are two different castings. Light or reinforced, similar to US stock wheels. .
