New 99 Spec Rims Mounted!

Finally got around to mounting my new (bought from Rhode_Dog's uncle ) 99 J-Spec rims and thought I'd show you some pics. It wasn't a perfect day for pics (overcast) here in Oregon but at least it wasn't raining !

I cleaned and prepped the rims and had them powder coated a slightly darker shade of silver than stock. I'm really pleased with the way they turned out. I went with the stock size tires, 235/45WR-17 for the front and 255/40WR-17 for the rear (all Yokohama AVS ES100's).

Tasteful..... I loved the Yoko ES100s I had on my car but they get a bit "greasy" on the track....

Thanks.

Total cost was just under $1,500.00. That included shipping and having them professionally powder coated. I know that Corksports sells them and last time I looked, it $1,750.00 plus S&H and oh by the way a 3 to 4 month wait!

I feel that I got a great deal and am very pleased with how they turned out!

Thanks again for your comments.

Going from memory (I'm at work right now), I believe they're +50 (same as the standard 93-95 rim).

how big can you go on these rims?? I have the spirit-r bbs which I believe are the same size (17x8.5 F and 17x9.5 R ??? if I remember correctly) and need to buy tires and wanted to know how wide can I go.

Your car looks great!!!!

The rim sizes for the 99 J-Spec rims are 17"x8"JJ for the front and 17"x8 1/2"JJ for the rear. The tire sizes I used are the OEM recommended sizes for these rims. If you are correct in your rim sizes (??) it sounds like you can do at least 245/40 in the front and 275/30 in rear (or wider??). Again this all depends on your suspension setup (stock verses lowered). I hope that helps you out.
