4 pot Rear brakes?

Has anyone come across a kit that will give a 4 pot rear brake set up whilst also keeping a mechanical hand brake?

To my knolage there is one kit fitted in the UK that uses a hub mount hand brake with a 4 pot caliper.

I would be very intrested if some one has made a simalar kit in the US or Japan.

As i want one!!!!

Cheers
Chris

It would probably be a waste of money to have more than two piston calipers in the rear. Its not like you can use a bunch more braking effectiveness in the rear. Two piston calipers will give you a nice pedal feel compared to the sliding single piston that comes stock.

Yeh but it would be nice to have the option.

There was a kit Developed in the UK that used 6 pots up front and 4 pots at the rear with a Hub handbrake... I can imagen they would be kind of powerfull, but it never went into production becouse of lack of intrest...

I am looking into doing something simalar so i'm asking about to see if there is a kit before i start playing.

There is a 4 piston rear kit for the FD available from Precision Brakes. It utilises a secondary caliper for the mechanical parking brake.

Another option is to have a hydraulic handbrake, but I'm not sure if there are any issues associated with using one as a parking brake.
