255s all around

I plan on getting BFG Sport Comp 2s. I have 9in in the fronts and 10in in the rear (width wheels). Does any body have a similar wheel tire setup? How does it drive? Is it twitchy?

This is for an FC.

I had something pretty close. 235 and 255s wrapped around a set of 17x8 and 9s.

The car rode and handled great! My offset was +35 all around.

Yeah. Im hoping the ride will be a lil more confidence inspiring. My fc has become my daily again and im finally getting 4 new grippier tires to replace my used and bald ones. With the manuel rack its always been twitchy especially in the rain. I want the extra grip from wider tires but I dont want the car to feel twitchy were im scared to drive in the rain. I got into an accident a while back an every time the steering gets shake-y Im alil paranoid.

A 255 in the front with a good alignment and proper offset shouldn't track at all. They are quite smooth on a 17" rim.

For that wide, you might need a lil spacer. 10mil or so.

I would put a 245/40/17 front and a 255/40/17 rear.

I think putting the tires on the wheels with a slight stretch is a good bet for handling. a 245/40/17 on a 9" wheel is slightly stretched which is good for handling/turn in/better tire contact patch control.

As weird as it sounds it should give you less understeer as well because of how the tire is stretched a little.

17x9 +24 up front, 255/40/17

Rolled and flared front fenders. Road, track, auto-x - it did it all!

Same as Johnson here.

255/40/17 on 17x9 +24. You'll need to roll front fenders and dial in some negative camber. Depending on rear offset with the 10s you may not need to roll the rear fenders. With rear NT01s I had to roll the rears but NT01s are huge.

The car handles and drives great with 255s all around.

Forgot that you'll need coilovers to run this offset at the front, and tight wheel bearings.

I know Ichiba and Project Kics both make a studded spacer that are less than 25mm
