Tuning SAFC
I searched and found this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ht=tuning+safc
RevUp13b asks the question I'm interested in, "Is there a standard setting for a stock 13b N/A for SAFC?"
My car is pretty much BONE stock aside from an aftermarket exhaust system. (Which I didn't buy or put on but the paperwork shows it's a Bonez from Rotary Peformance here in Texas.)
His question never got answered and I'm still curious, might be gettin' an SAFC for Christmas. *SANTA is MY friend. *
So thanks all & Merry Christmas,

There probably isnt a base really it also depends on who's usign what safc, the new one shave 14 points and the older have only 8.
Im just gonna get a narrowband AFR gauge and a EGT gauge and try to keep it stoic and at a good temp(not sure what yet). Im gonna need a wideband once I go turbo though.

I wish I was driving!
Can you give me your blood?
You don't really want to answer that, b/c your blood type might kill me. The only way to know if its safe is through blood testing.
I don't want to give you my S-AFC settings. They might kill your engine. Best to do some AFR testing first.

Even a cheap narrow band AFR gauge can be helpful with your NA.
High THR set point 99%, low THR set ~15%
High map - close to 0 at all RPM's.
Low map - hold the throttle at each PRM & lean it until it just starts to drop from rich into stoich at each set point.
Besides looking cool, it will save you some gas, and give a little more power during acceleration.
Another thing about the narrow band AFR gauge is you can see when you are in closed loop.
In closed loop, the S-AFC corrections are ignored.
