*i just realized you're talking about the safc ii. i think i have the older one...so here's my review of the older one*

i've got one.

if you're handy with a soldering iron, it's not hard to install. it's just a bit awkward to solder where your passenger's feet are. i'd recomend soldering the connections, rick at rick's rotary has has several bad connections when he did some installs and recomended me to solder them. prob 2-3 hour job taking your time.

as far as useage, i had rick do the initial setup for my safc. since then i've played with it a little (mostly to put the engine in "flamethrower" mode). it's real easy to adjust. it's prob just as easy to do the initial setup also, but i can't really speak for that.

i originally got mine to help me pass emissions since my engine is ported.

Can you set different modes? That would be cool.

I have one and had the version 1 as well.. I think they are both fairly easy to use, except you get a new display mode in the safc II (which looks nice I guess) but the real nice thing is you can have 2 saved files so you can switch between 2 different dyno tune settings I guess... might be useful in having a setthing for emissions/gas mileage and a setting for something else (flame thrower? lol)

I paid 300 for my S-AFC II from japan in January when they first came out. I like it because it has more monitoring than the other safc. It also can store 2 maps. Works great w/ the high/low boost setting on my profec B. I have one fuel map for 8psi and one for 12psi. You cannot switch maps on the fly. You have to power down the car and load up the map that way. Thats my only complaint, otherwise its a nice unit.

got mine for $285 shipped from a dealer on Ebay. I'm using it on my SR powered 240SX and so far I love this little gadget. I would highly recommend it for simple fule upgrades.

im guessing this is just like an adjustable piggy back unit? im guessing this unit has the abilitly to set fuel maps on larger injectors. what else can it do, i want to find a good way to control my fuel flow. I also am looking for somthing that can accomodate upgradse in the future. would this be the way to go? ive also been looking at the HKS pfcon but i see that its a preprogrammed unit. Can this unit accomodate upgrades as easily as the SAFC? thanks -alex
