whos had there 7 tuned by Aspec??

Im not trying to flame on anyone or anything.. Im just looking for people whos had there rx-7's tuned by Aspec.. im going to be taking them my car in october hopefully.. and id just like to chat with people who had there motor tuned by them and what experances and so fourth with them?? I am going to have them tune a twin turbo 3rd gen, with all the bolt on mods, and non sequential to 14psi, PFC and commander, 1300cc secondary injectors, and the motor has an agressive streetport... im shooting for 350hp at the rear wheels for my goal!! but ive never had a car tuned before and i thought id ask!!

Thanks Guys!!

I've had them tune mine a number of times. I've been very satisfied each time.

Hmm, I thought there were more posts in this thread.

They've tuned my car. They are now building my engine for much higher goals.

I need to have mine tuned, I'm in the same boat as you, please let me know how your experience is. They told me it would be around $550.00 for the tune and dyno time.
Banzai racing will street tune for $75.00 an hour with 4-6 hours needed..

If you guys get a few more people interested I bet Sean might be willing to do an "Rx7 Dyno Day" and give a price break.

A quick tune in 2 to 3 hrs??? Sounds like it runs good most of the time Street tunes are good but should always be backed up with some time on a dyno and vice versa. I run our dyno with a light load on it to keep it close to what it will see on the street somewhat. A really good solid tune can take a few trips to a tuner as he obviously can't tune for every issue if he has only a couple hours behind the wheel.

Tuning involves a lot more than just boost:
(1) idle
(2) cruise
(3) cruise to low boost transistion
(4) high boost for multiple boost settings unless you plan to always run only one boost level.

You spend over 90% of your time off boost, that is where most time is spent for proper tuning. You want good engine responce and good mileage for a street engine.

I have people contact me after having a quick street tune for boost by know tuners. They say the car is great under boost, but the rest sucks.
You get what you pay for!
