Ran another 8sec pass

Well we ran another 8 second pass yesterday it was 8.95@149 we've done better, we've done worse. It made a lot of the V8 guys give a big thumbs up to see such a little car move out. I think we may just turn up the boost and see what we'll get. Right now we are only running 23lbs. Small turbo. T-61, no IC(no room),eight 1680's fed through two rails, two pumps, two regulators. The car has some room to grow, I'm just not sure if I wanna up the boost on this little turbo or rework the chassis to fit the larger turbo it needs. We'll see. Anyway just thought you guys would like to know we stood up against the local V8's pretty good, well, very good, they were all in the 9's

Thanks, yes it is on alcohol. Main reason is no room for IC. Car runs a G-force trans, last time it weighed in around 1950. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Regardless of what the car is, an 8 sec. pass is an 8 sec. pass, PERIOD. Congrats on the time ZeroR!!

What the hell does that have to do with anything? Wether he owns the car, built the car, sponsors the car, or drove the car, it's still an accomplishment for A-spec/himself. If it's an accomplishment for A-spec, well he owns it, so it's still the same thing.

Maybe, just maybe, you should learn to drive your Rx-7 before you try and put something else together. Funny how you blad your mouth on other threads about peoples times, yet you havn't reached the full potential of your own car. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ht=drag+attire

Congratulations!

It's not about being "pretty", (it looks very clean though), but going fast!

Toyota Starlet. Old school.

That thing must be scary at 150mph+ and such a short wheelbase with those lovely aerodynamics. Hauling butt for sure!

My car is illegal to compete in NHRA and NOPI. How many of you people travel around competing/campaigning, anyhow? Exactly.

I built my car to tear up the local streets/tracks.

My short times are horrible and that's because how low my car is. That will be fixed.

We just started running drag races a little while ago so were not that experienced (yet!) ... more time to get stuff situated and get more expereince with it and we hope to get better times. Car has alot of potential and more power to be had. probably next year (season) we'll put more time and effort in it!

What size slicks are you running? They don't look to be too tall. I have a Datsun 1200 about the same setup but I'm still on leafsprings and will be running 26x8.5x15 MT slicks. Hope I can keep it going straight.LOL. Great looking car I use to have a Starlet also I love them I'm trying to get this guy down from me to sell his. It's clean as hell and I want another one. And the weight of 1950lbs is that with the driver or not? Great run and congradulations.
