Who Can Press Bearings In/Out in Austin?

Can anyone recommend a good shop in Austin that can press out my old rotor bearings and press in some new ones? I know about MZM, but I would prefer to avoid them. The last time I called them for some service the guy on the phone was an a**hole, so they don't need my business. It is supposed to be a pretty straight forward procedure, but I would like to find someone who has done it before. Rotors and bearings are expensive!

Try http://www.jcautospec.com @ 512-670-5352 (Round Rock). They can handle rotaries and may be able to help you.

BDC in Dallas does them. I'm not sure you'll find anybody in town that can do it, much like everything else.

One of these days I need to set up a fixture, but so far I haven't had the need personally.

Don't they still need an adapter that fits the 13B rotor bearing?

I called around and got quite a range of prices.

MZM $127.50
Gotham $75
Protech $50
Alamo $30

I ended up taking them to protech, they should be ready tomorrow. I told MZM their price was a "little" high for an hour's work and he just said it was a flat fee?!?

no I don't think so. I got some local shop that wouldn't know a rotor from a eccentric shaft to do mine and they charged me like 20 bucks a piece.
