Well just some work on the car

Well I have been talking about it for a long time, but i am finally upgrading my exhaust to 4in and getting away for my turnbuckle exhaust as some where calling it

It was funny i thought the hardest thing was going to be getting the reducing neck out of the turbo so that the restriction would go away, well i cut two slits because i was going to hit it a few times to break the chunk off well after the 3rd hit the entire reducer came loose, I was SOOO happy that I didn't have to fight that.

Also I took my fiberglass turbo insulator and found that the fiberglass had melted in some spots and turned into solid glass, take a look at the photos. O BTW glass melts @ 1425 - 1600 °C

Here is just some of the pics I took tonight.

Why thank you for that compliment..... I have a converter to be able to hook them into the datalogit and log the temps vs. AFR.

There will be 3 EGT's two Pre-turbo and one Post-turbo, just wanted to see how much it drops.

I did not realize that your original turbine outlet was so frigging restrictive.
That is really going to reduce backpressure!

The closest tap is soon to be about 35 miles away, but they haven't it installed yet.

Here is most of it done, just have to finish the rear part.

I am trying to find out how i can do the wastegate, I think i am just going to run it all the way back and dump it next to the mufflers.

The dual EGT's are a very good idea, Chuck. Are you using analog or digital gauges? I'd like to swap over to dual EGT's at some point on mine as well. I'm using an EGT probe located in the manifold towards the tail end of the rear runner (prior to the joint with the front) that's got an O2Simulator EGT -> 5V convertor for datalogging on the Haltech. It's wads better than nothing but I'd like to see differences in the chambers themselves. Luckily for us 2-rotor folk, we only have to look at two numbers and not 6, 8, or 10.

Well before i had a single EGT post turbo and it was a analog gauge, after this install they will be hooked up into the datalogit so i can log the EGT's with the same sort of converter, Soon I will have a screen in my car with a car-puter so i can put up some digital gauges on the screen if I want to. Another thought but i don't know if there would be interference if i split the signal from the EGT probes, one to the DL and one to a digital gauge.

I am still in the air about that, but at least they are there when I need them.

Well got alot of stuff done, but not everything i wanted to. I ordered my ignition box from summit but they sent me the one without a dual rev limitor, so i had to send it back to get the right one. Got my 3 bar map with harness in from Banzai racing, SUPER FAST shipping. Also welded my 90 degree elbow on my turbo so i could get rid of that huge U I had working for so long, if you dont remember look at the bottom of my signature.

Without the waterpump/thermostat housing, the engine frontal area is greatly reduced in size. Really opens it up alot.
