It is certainly one hell of a time investment for only 2 open track sessions. Perhaps the regulars who frequent MSR (myself and idk who else) could get open track time while the others are in the classroom??? I'm going to need to think about it for a while..

Anyone thought about putting an ad on craigslist? Lot of guys out there that would see it there if it had the right tags that would not see it here.

What about safety restraints/seats?

My Sparco harnesses and buckets are both expired. Because its a focus day (non competitive), may I still use them and pass tech?

No neck restraints (Hans, Isaac, etc) required? Also, Im assuming since "long pants" are a minimal requirement, we wont need fire suits/gloves/shoes. -- Im wearing mine regardless. Better safe than sorry.

Im excited, its been years since I last hit the track!

I can't wait either, my car is back up and running now, just got to get it tuned next week. And baring any major problems with that i will be there!

Now, anyone know of a good deal for NT-01 tires? I have to get tires before this and those are what i have my eyes on but price is a major problem so might just go with 615's.

I also need an alinment before this as well, anyone know of a good place that does it cheap in the DFW area?

Cool

Steve, thanks for the effort and good intentions trying to put this event together.
I think the 2 "follow the leader" and 2 "open" sessions killed the event.
I know, it is needed for people who haven't been to MSR.
For me, 2 open sessions is just not enough for the 2 hour round trip, cost of the event and the gas expense, these are the reasons for me passing on this.
The others that express interest, I don't know their reason for not doing it.

I was planning on registering today but the combo of it obiously not going to happen and just buying a 3rd gen RX7 yesterday kinda put a damper on that.

Although i am happy with my RX7 buy, got a deal on it due to the motor being flooded and the PO thinking it was blown. Little front end damage but new hood and bumper will fix that right up. Otherwise it is in really nice shape. real clean and has a lot of mods as well, is said to have dynoed 450rwhp a few months back.

And yes that wing is going bye bye.

Well considering we live right next to each other and do events together, I'm sure you know my reasoning baron lol. But yeah same reasons for me, plus started a new job. I still would like to see more 7s out at events though if anyone else wants to meet up for one sometime.

let me know how close it is. if it's close and just needs another one or two then I'll go ahead and register. I'll just sit out the lead/follow sessions. but if only 4 registered so far then I doubt this will happen.

Well, my FC is right now in the garage getting taken apart. I found a coolant leak, and while I am at it, I am also fixing a small laundry list. This could take awhile.

I had everything written on a posty and left in a fold of my wallet...which I found at 4:30 PM.

I'll get it done today and report the count when for sure.

As much as i hate it, i have to back out simply due to not enough funds. I need tires and an alinment + entry fee, no way i can afford all of that after just buying a 3rd gen.

I know a few of the guys from MR2oc have paid up, i will see if i can see who.

The event is officially canceled. I just talked to JC and he informed me that only 11 signed up. Amy will refund everyone with the deposits either today or monday. Sorry that didn't happen. However, TDE is having a 3.1 event on May 15-16. Price is $295 I believed for those who still wants to do a track event. This will be a 2 day event instead of 1 day. I will be instructing for TDE so if you do register with them, come by and say hi

Steve
