Poor Mans Compression Test

Alright... finally got back to working on my 7. (got laid off, etc.) So, cant seem to get it started. I was going to remove the injectors and have them cleaned and tested but figured i would do a pmc-test first. Check this video out and let me know what you think. the sound and air coming out seems to me to be fine but i dont know. any opinions would be a great help. When removing my spark plugs i realized my front leading plug was cracked so i have just finished ordering a new set. which by the way did NGK quit manufacturing them because both autozone and advanced only sell the trailing plugs and not the leading anymore which made me have to order them online (came out cheaper anyway). any help would be much appreciated. I want to get her runnin before the next meet but i doubt it. oh well

Reviewed the Video, from the sound, it has even pulses, so it could be enough compression to start. Still could use some real numbers on that one.

Check these in order.

1)Fuel Pressure Supply
2)Fuel Lines on correctly, Line in going to line In and Line Out to Line out. The Line out should be coming from the secondary fuel rail. I think the TII goes like this.

Fuel In, thru Pulsation dampener, primary injectors, then to Secondary injectors, fuel pressure regulator (has vacuum hose on it) to fuel out.

3)12V to one side of injector plugs
4)Is the Resistance correct, Low Ohm injectors has Resister block, High Ohm injectors without resister block.
5)Will it start with starter fluid? If it will but will not start without then it could be the Coolant temp sensor or the 12V (starter) signal to the ECU.

Is that a Fuel Pressure Leak down reducer on the Fuel lines, is it working correctly (Fuel Pressure at the Injectors)

um ok... thanks for that list i will try to get all that done today. I do know it will not start even with starter fluid. and the fuel pressure leak down reducer is working (i am guessing because I got the car started a week ago but while driving it died and i havent been able to get her going again (had to get her towed home). is there a way to test it?

If it will not start with starter fluid then it is something bigger, REALLY FLOODED possible.

Just Pull start it.

I think he meant to say Push start it... You can get the engine to turn over faster this way..You also don't want to use your start for that long either as you can fry it! For now though if it won't start when you push start it then try getting some fresh plugs in(I guess when the arrive). If you have another car to use for pushing it would help.

Yea, pull it with another vehicle with the KEY off in 1st gear at first, this will get all the fuel out of the motor, then turn the key on and the computer will start to inject fuel, it should start.

you only need 2 or 3K on the RPM so about 20-30mph is plenty.
