Interesting.. there is a local 8 owner here who has one that is flat black too... but it's not as "dull" looking as your appears in the photos.









I think I want to paint my FC a flat color, but I'm not sure how it will turn out.

Wow beautiful...and the vinyl wrapping looks amazing I didn't know it had come so far! And err..not to be a buzzkill here...but I was a little curious about your GT-R, my friend is a Nissan tech and he says that he consistently gets people coming in with messed up transmissions. Now whether or not thats because they just got in the car day 1 and slammed the gas, I dont know. Im very willing to bet thats the case but, just in case, good luck with your Transmission, best of luck with the car, its beautiful.

Amazing car you got there Bob.
Make sure you don't take off the traction control.
If you loose the tranny, the ECU will record if the traction control was set to off and you will have to pay for a new one.
Read it in the owners manual.
Apparently the trans are weak and can't handle the power.

Why put a button to take the traction control off and then not warrant the transmission????

That's a sick GTR... i thought about doing my FD Flat Black..... But i'm scared... ROFL

 

From what I read the manual explains when to use it and what for.

Doing drag launches isn't what it was made for.

 

That probably explains the difference betwee nthe way the 8 looks and the GTR.
