Gabriel Gonzales/"Rotary Performance Plus" screwed me (long).
Nothing here, I noticed one of his buddies posted on the local forum www.houstonrx7club.com on your thread there.
He was saying what a good job he did on his carb job, however that post disappeared or something.

There's a guy over at Mazdarotaryclub.com whose knows people who Gabriel screwed over when Gabe was still back on the island (pressumably before he ever came to the States). Same old ****. He set up shop behind a reputable one and take forever to do simple work.
I've read 4 pages so screw me if I missed something, but after seeing the picture of the "shop", how the hell could you even think they did quality work? Any car is out in the open, under tress, with no fence for security. Although he should have or will get his *** kicked, you need your *** kicked for actually using this shop. It amazes me how anyone would use a rat hole of a shop over a mazda dealer, even if the mazda dealer sucks, you won't get this much of a headache and you have a warranty and receipts.
I hope you get the car repaired at this *** clown's expense so now I'll read the rest of the thread and try to forget the picture of this supposed shop.

Unfortunately I bought it and I was dumb for buying it.
Live and learn.

Interesting info from forum member "Outsider" over at the UK Mazda Rotary Club forum.

His brother is going to chime in who's more familiar with "RPP" back when it was in PR.

Luckily his new baby (RX-8) hasn't visited there.
However the guy we always dealt with in RPP in Puerto Rico is called Hiram. He seemed to be a nice guy although a little slow to finish cars sometimes
Don't know if he owns the shop now or what.
Maybe he has a better rep in PR because he doesnt actually do any thing down there and is taking somebody else's credit for himself. Maybe Gabriel is just stealing somebody else's reputation from the island.
I did However get screwed by Hondaland in Carolina PR with my 88 CRX Si but that's for another forum. (and the owner of that shop is a friend of my parents)
Too bad he was the closest rotary mechanic to where we lived...
now it will be dealership, long travels, or do it yourself unless we can positively verify that Hiram has nothing to do with Gabriel.

Hi I am ousider's brother,
As far as I can remember Hiram has ALWAYS been the owner of Rotary Performance in Puerto Rico. I posted this on another thread:
Hi to all,
I am Outsider's brother. he told mo about this thread an an email so I had to post!
As far as knowing gabriel personaly I dont recall him. I always worked with the person that you are refering to as his partner.
His name is Hiram and he owns a rotary shop that was formerly calle Rotary Performance and that he later called Hiram's Rotary Repair. My experience with Hiram was always positive. Other than one time that he took about 2 weeks more to finisha clutch replacement on my old FC he always delivered on his pormises and always gave me a fair price. His service was always good.
I do recall that he mentioned to me once that he had to fire one of his employees because he was causing problems (he mentioned that he had taken some stuff of a car) Maybe he was talking about Gabriel. I will try to call Hirem tomorow and ask him and I will post any info. that I get.
For my part I stand behind Hiram and wish that nobody compares or associates him with this so called Gabriel which sounds like a real A-Hole.
I will definiteley be calling Hiram tomorow and posting any information that I find out. Hope I can be of any help to you guys!
