Vick - Man that is so fucked up! I really have to commend you on not taking some action that, while satisfying in the short term, would have negative consequences in the long run.

I know what it is like to have a car out of commission for long periods of time, I had a similar thing as you happen to me years and years ago with a Triumph I was having repaired. The car was gone for over 14 months, one delay after another, more and more costs over what was originally agreed on....yeah, it SUCKS when this **** happens!

And though we often spar over various other subjects, I just want you to know I feel for you in this ordeal, and wish you the best of luck.

Aaron- Thanks for posting.

Let it be known, that Aaron has been nothing but of help and nice to me. We had a four hour talk on the subject of Gabriel and his bad business a month before MOAD even existed and he agreed it's just a matter of time before RPP goes down. Hell, he had more bad things to say about Gabriel than I did!

Aaron doesn't work for Gabriel or RPP nor does he condone any of the **** that went down with me or Keith.

I don't think anyone thinks you're retarded. Keith actually has a retarded brother and the little I've been around you, I can tell the difference. I've seen several posts about you "seem" nice, etc and even that you and/or Julian should head out on your own & try to make something successful because anything associated with GG or RRP isn't looking to reliable.

"MY" problem (and I can only speak for myself) is that you came out to the Houston Rx-7 club in August to present on this guys business and reputation (aka: his behalf). I'm sorry but you have to realize that supporting people who do business like this is going to cause you some flack. I mean you're smart enough to realize if it was you who's gone through this ****, you'd be pretty upset too. Maybe you don't deserve it, but this guy doesn't deserve to have his "business" advertised through the club either and people need to be aware of the problems...because this definately isn't winning friends and influencing people.

To me...that's what the posts are saying in regards to you. In regards to GG/RRP it seems he's lucky he's in Houston because I think if he were elsewhere someone would of hurt him by now.

My FD was taken from RPP and delivered to my house yesterday (Saturday, October 9, 2004) afternoon. You have no idea how happy I am to finally have my car back.

After playing phone tag with HPD and the tow truck company all morning, I left the house at 12:30 en route to Gabriel's "shop". There was HEAVY traffic on North Shepard and 610 so I arrived a bit and late and barely missed the tow truck. After calling the tow truck company, they quickly dispatched another driver out there. HPD however, had yet to arrive.

Now, when I initially got there, only Gabriel, Julian, and Julian's cousin were present at the shop. Gabriel was working on someone's car (HA!) and as soon as he saw me, he walked passed me and retreated into Marcos Precision. I quickly started snapping pics of my car at various angles (see pics below). Gabriel did a pretty good job of staying out of my way and not saying **** to me.

It was pretty funny though when I opened the hatch to take pics, the tow driver said "Goddamn!!" when he saw how fucked up the interior of my was.

I'd say his reaction was warranted. Wouldn't you?


Well after I snapped all the pics (with my shitty camera) I just waited until HPD showed up. Well, after hours (and many phone calls to the HPD dispatcher) I realized HPD had better things to do and that they were ultimately never going to show up. Sucks, but no biggie. I just have to make a trip out to the police dept. tomorrow so I can give them my statement and to file my claim. I still wish they didn't blow me off so the HPD officer could see with his own eyes how bad this guy fucked my car up.

Well anyway, before leaving I made damn well sure I had everything (parts, keys, etc.) before I left. I even told Gabriel before I left that I'm going to have a REAL rotary tech come out to look at my car and that he will be responsible for any missing parts that were on the car. Gabriel nodded and said, "Ok."

I asked for the copy of the key he made a long time ago which he replied with, "Hold on..." and he walked off. I figured I'd take more pics before asking him again but like a dumbass I completely forgot to get it from him. No big deal. I'll make sure the constable pics it up when they go and get his statement.

Anyway, the car is at my house and I took more pics of the tow truck and such. I'm taking footage of it with my camcorder tomorrow. I'm not touching the car until Friday when Kevin can come from Arlington to survey the damage. Also, does anyone know of a rotary tech who makes house calls? I need a quote.

- MOAD was actually "fixed", well if you called pulling the dent and slapping bondo on it fixed. The job was so fucked up. It still needed to be sanded down and primered.

...And Gabriel said all it needed was paint.

- The car was filthier. The interior especially. I'll try to get better pictures as the pictures I took really don't do it justice.

- That's really it. The motor was still in pieces. The dings were still there. Granted, I'm still not finished inspecting the car. We shall see.

Well, there you have it. I'm really happy my car is at home and out of his "shop". I'd also like to add that anyone is welcome (expect for Gabriel of course ) to my house to see the car in person. I don't think it was ever his intention of giving me a reciept. As a matter of fact when he tried to threaten and intimidate me to stop asking him for a reciept (he failed miserabley btw) he brought Keith up and said that he won't give me one because he was afraid that he'd I'd take him to court. Well, I still have a case without the damn reciept and I wasn't at all thinking of taking him to court at the time.

Oh and the only way I'm going to get my money back is through court. Will it get messy? Yes. For him it will.

ROFLMAO...that's funny, he's still mad that I made sure EVERYTHING was done legally on paper...that in itself says volumes to me. He got all hot and bothered in my front yard one day when we were signing over cars, he was like we don't need this paperwork, etc (and it was nothing except the stuff DOT makes you do when you sell cars) "I" (not Keith) was like oh yes, we do. Nothing is leaving my property/possession until it's done. I'm not taking responsibility for ANYTHING once it leaves this driveway. He's like their Keith's cars and kept looking for sympathy from Keith...I'm like no, there OUR cars both our names are on the titles - so it's my way or it doesn't get done. From that day forward he refused to address me at all and that was LONG before the **** hit the fan. Which is why when we were getting extorted that night, I waited for the cops (maybe cause a girl called they didn't take as long...I think I waited an hour or so...but they finally came) met me at the corner store a few blocks away and escorted me to the shop making sure I was satisfied by getting the car & a fully itemized receipt before I left. Of course, to find out cause he used Marco Sr's receipts I'd have to go after them...so a lot of good that does me.

Well, let me know when you go to court. I wanna sit in the court & listen. Hell, if you need a character reference for his work, I'll be happy to testify...I work for the state, I get lots of time off and further more...I want to see justice prevail once and for all.

You know what else is funny? He told me that he doesn't give any of his customers reciepts. Well, one day I opened up his tool box and suprise, I found a stack of reciepts with "Rotary Performance Plus" and the address on the header.

Your guess is as good as mine as to way the cops didn't show up. The tow truck driver told me it might be because it was getting too close to the officer's shift change and that my call was a low priority. Makes sense. The driver also asked me why I haven't beat Gabe's *** yet.

Vic, I can put your fd back together for you cheap. I have just rebuilt a friend of mines 13brew, and we just got it in yesterday. It started on the first crank and runs great. I think we spent around 650 for engine parts and about 350 on misc parts. I had agreed to a VERY low price to get my name out as a builder in the area. I could do the same for you to help with cost and get some advertising. I have been an auto technician now for 10 years. I specilize in electronics and driveability. After reading your whole episode and seeing the pics of your car in a make shift Shed called a garage, there would be no way that I would run that engine or even attempt to crank it!! If you would like to talk Pm me and we can exchange #'s. What ever you decide I hope you get your car back together. I'm sure the whole ordeal is just depressing. People like that need to be Shot! You might break a knuckle beating his face in(cost more money). I meen 2 years???

No offense xb2002, but you sound EXACTLY like what Gabriel did in 2002. Same pickup line and same type of motives about getting your shop up and running. Before you start soliciting business around the Houston area you better make sure you have some really good references before trying to get business around here as you can see several local owners are rather leary due to the mistakes of others.

Come out to a club meeting in the future and meet up with the group. We are always looking for new faces and trustworthy knowledgable friends!

Thanks for your offer and I don't doubt that you do great work in a timely manner but right now, I can't afford to have any work done on my car. I could barely afford the tow truck. Gabriel basically took most of my money. Like I said, I'm a full time student who doesn't work. I only make enough a month for my phone bill, rent, and car note (and beer ).

I didnt feel that I was "soliciting buisness" I see how bad this guy got Fucked and I feel like helping him. I guess he can trailor it to another shop and pay another $4000. I by no means scam people. I'm just trying to futher my skills as a auto tech. I am employed at a shop that has been in buisness for 30 years that I could do the job at and I am not trying to start a "buisness" I just rebuilt my buddys mainly because it was a challenge for me and NO ONE ELSE in the area would even touch his car. I guess its a touchy subject so I should'nt have even offered help. As far as getting my name out I have the ability to do a rotary engine and i have read many people in the houston area looking for a builder, and no one can say take it to so and so. As far as credibility we ARE planning to join/attend Houston club meetings and anyone can see the car then.
