Series 5 TPS so it's got two plungers instead of the 1 used for the S4. It's on the side of the throttle body opposite from where the throttle cable connects.

Sorry, if its not very clear; I barely managed to get a half positive answer on this myself (I suspect you are much further along in your mechanical knowledge than I ).

And once again sorry if I raised a dead thread.
.....cool I am down with raising threads from the dead lol. I will check it out and see what happens. This is not my main concern being the car makes a huge clunking shotgun sound on take off and shifting lol. I am pretty sure I just need new diff mounts oh and I have a hole in my rear passenger brake rotor the size of Texas that need to be fixed as well.

I am going to replace the back rotors with some new slotted ones and when I get some more money I will do the same to the front. Money is the biggest issue I am having atm since I am in school doesn't leave me much time to work. ><!!!

TX Good...........

.............news getting a newish rear brake rotor tomorrow and getting my paper work for the car ready again so it can be on the road legally. Talked to Scott he said to put the brake rotor back on I would need a specialty tool for the rear brake caliper like $5 at O'Riley no biggie. Hopefully I can get the brake rotor fixed, the car registered and everything before the next meet.

^^^ Yeah I told them to get the Borg Cube.

Personally, I use a ratty set of needlenose pliers to do the job. In the process I also stab myself in the hand a lot.

Its all a matter of how hardcore you want to get with it!

Just remember to leave one of the slots in the piston facing down so that when you rotate the caliper over the pads, it slips over little nipple on the pad.

Oh yeah -first smartass (you know who you are) that says ANYTHING about making sure to have the metal side of the pad away from the rotor gets a kick in the *******.

Or "rent" the entire brake kit from Oreillys or Autozone. The borg cube should be in the kit and it will only cost you a couple trips to the store.
I've done it both with needle nose pliers and the cube.....I'd pick the cube personally.

^^^ I have NEVER used the Borg Cube without breaking at least one nipple off it. They are pretty disposable.

You are totally taking away from the needlenose pliers experience.

Seeing your brake work first hand, I'm not surprised.

Who am I to deprive a man the sensation of driving two dull metal points through his palm? That's why they make neosporin. Have fun!

This is NOT the same as "He who smelt it, dealt it."

Just because I DISCOVERED some brake pad shenanigans doesn't mean that I'm responsible for the deed.

No mang - you need the cube to compress the piston to get the caliper back on the rear.

You are putting new brake pads on while you're back there???

..........I didn't put any new pads back there, I was just replacing the rotor for now. After I get the stickers on my car I can bring her by Lemon's Racing central and fix the clunking noise. I am pretty sure I will trade you the T2 Differential and 1/2 shafts for the stuff you have. 1. I don't know if I want to go Turbo yet and 2. I want to help out the team any way that I can. GO TEAM SENSORY ASSAULT!!!

TX Is it just.....

......me or was Murphy's Law invented for RX-7's? Tried to get the stickers for my car today but the fan that Phil installed took a dump on me and my car was smoking like crazy. Waiting till morning to start the car again and see what the damage is if there is any.

I don't know why these cars fight you so much I really don't. But I still love them
