I wouldnt consider my car "tuned" man. Its running, but its rough and it took me and him a LONG time to get it where its at. Definitely not someone i'd compare to Steve Kan, Brian Cane, or Steve Osley.

 

dammit, couldn't make it. i just got the car running yesterday. i will stop by the shop sometime this week.




who tuned your car? i'm looking for a mechanic for some minor work.

 

i actually wouldnt mind racing. i have no CLUE what this setup with run. The best part is, is that i really dont care who wins. But the fact that both our cars would still be running afterwards is really all that matters.

You guys spend more time talking **** to each other instead of talkin how you blew the doors off a mustang or a camaro at the track.....but yea ill race. you all will be the first to know when my tune is done anyways

 

If you think this is a lot, when we get together its worse. there's no point in saying what camaro or mustang we beat. we've all got a few under our belts. last one for me was a supercharged red g8 friday night. By third gear i was a good distance ahead and fourth gear wasnt looking good for him either.
noone gets butt hurt, well except for la_rotary...he has issues.

As a matter of fact, la_rotary actually agreed to a 3rd gear run against the brown bitch...soon..im gonna mount a video camera facing out of the passenger window when we line up....its the only time he'll be next to me...after that it'll look like he hit reverse!!

 

I agree with rotorican. By now bragging about mustangs and camaros arent worth it. The night I blew mine up i outran a 12.4 second camaro by 5 cars. Big whoop. Its still just a camaro. The **** talking is part of the fun. And no the G8 isnt supercharged. I saw him the other day on post. He's spraying the **** out of it.

Nobody has "tuned" it yet. We managed to make it run good enough to break in the new motor but thats it. As for actual mechanical work, everything except the rebuild i do myself. I dont trust anybody in el paso to touch my car except FJDRX7 and maybe Rotorican. Thats it.

Looks like I may be getting another fd here to add with the sup. I was wondering if any of you guys know this car below? Been checking craigslist regularly for the the past month or so and came across this one:

FAST Mazda RX7 '94

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I figured it'd be worth a shot. If I cant find 7 Ill probably end up getting a nsx or something else but getting another fd is my first choice.

 

Yeah it sat over on Montana for a while. I stopped and looked at it back in February sometime. Up close the body is pretty rough, paint looks rough, a lot of the interior is missing, it smoked like a freight train and was difficult to get started, and the taillights arent even real JDM they're painted USDM. I told him i'd give him $8k for it and thats still what i'd give unless he's done a lot more to it, but it doesnt look like he has. Its not worth anywhere near $15k.

 

TinMan car is for sale and looks so much better, i want it. but the wife only let me have one LOL

 

every time i look at tin's car, i like mine better.....**** that, every time i look at the mess under the hood of an fd....I REALLY like my car better.!!!!
