Anybody got an aftermarkey REW Primary rail that ISNT KG Parts?

 

Any idea of when another drift event will be taking place? I didnt hear about the one last week and I'm sure my son would get a kick out of that.

 

Is a stationary bearing supposed to go on the gear or the eccentric?

Rear stationary gear bearing welded on to eccentric....i mean WELDED!!
Had to use a dremel with a thin cutting wheel to remove it. Obviously due to no oil pressure.



In case you are indeed wondering....eccentric was toast. I did laugh like a **** at this since it wasnt my motor!!!! (for once!!)

 

Apparently, using FD bearings with a FC stationary gear is no bueno...can't use the bearing retainer bolt therefore free to spin and never build oil pressure.

Was kinds funny to see you laugh at my misfortune though....

Four new FC bearings, a new eccentric shaft and counting, gotta inspect everything else today.

 

no clue on a new event, although they do have autocross at cohen every month. fun to get out there and watch, or even see what your car will do. And its pretty cheap too.

I am doing some community service for the past week or so and I have made great strides with the automotive program. Here is one of my students after his first solo, and successful, attempt at assembling all the seals on a rotor....i realized afterwards i should have never said "use liberal amount of vaseline" ....since he replied "it looks like i jerked off an elephant!
Damn rotor was more slippery than a bar of soap at the county jail."

 

No such thing as too much lube......should be a smooth initial start..lil smoky tho lol

Bolted up the new FFE rail (amazing fit btw) and bolted down both secondary and primary to do a pressure test. Sure as ****, go to turn the car on, battery is deader than dead. Got a Red Top comin in tommorow morning. Wondering what else can go wrong here......

 

the bitch starts!!!!! super rough idle, messed with the PFC and got this thing lookin good. No leaks, some smoke but expected. next step is having the tuner stop by tomorow or friday. Should be on the road this weekend wasting gas!

 

can anyone recommend me a mechanic? or if somebody wants to help me out and make some extra cash that's cool too.

i have an 87 turbo that idles rough and has too cool down after shut off or else i have to de-flood it.

come by the shop tomorow around 1-2pm. 11060 dyer st. ste 13. We are gonna try and work on my 7 and another customers.

On the bright side, we got mine to idle, stop smoking, and drive without boost. After revising the firmware on the tuners computer, we should be able to knock my tune out tommorow. if not, ill have a datalogit this week and can just go from there. feels amazing to drive my car!

My housings were successfully refurbished by Goopy Performance, and should be shipping out on Monday along with my new rotors, and rebuild kit. Just a few more weeks and she'll back on the road!

 

The refurbishing from them works really well...rotor and I used it for our blocks and we have great comp.

None of these were tuned by local "tuners"......thats why they are running....

 

Well you might wanna talk to Mckinney before making that comment....because last time i checked the same tuner touched his and mine....and we are both running.... but its cool
