Destruction On Christmas Eve (Worst Luck)

Well my Christmas Eve was all ready bad before I started to head to my brothers for Christmas dinner, with 3 bruised ribs from my snowboarding trip.

Well anyways

My super cooling system that i build for my FD failed on me the worst way, a hole got rubbed into one of my oil coolers while i was just taking off for my brothers around 5:00pm. Well there is a bad *** turn near my house that i like to take some speed into all the time, I mean I have token this turn over 60mph all the time, but this was a different story. I don't know where into this turn the hole reviled itself, but the out come was very bad. I found out that you cant turn on oily tires. When i was about half way thru the turn my car started to spin out, At this point i thought I was just putting to much into the turn but I was wrong when i tried to correct the skidding. Well everything I did was in vane because i went off road at about 30mph. Well as some of you all know I have a extreamly low front bumper. Well this front bumper is now in about 4 parts.

The car is ok and except for a broken front bumper, busted oil cooler, dented up under tray, and a dented oil cooler I think i walked away ok. The intercooler and radiator is fine.

Here is the damage

I am going to fix the bumper today (Christmas) and will try to order a new oil cooler tomorrow. It was a Earls 19 row cooler but I think I am going to change to a 10 row one so i can add a air inlet duct for my GT42 turbo, I had been thinking about fiberglassing some sort of intake off the side of the bumper but I didn't think it would happen this fast.

Well I think I can put this into the record books as my worst Christmas ever!!

Don't worry it's only a machine that can be fixed or replaced. What matters is your safe. Cars are special but in the end it only matters if you can walk away from them....
