To be honest, I never did really read much into it. Thanks for the info, the fee is going towards things you'll defiantly need and want. Sounds perfectly fair to me.
Phil works his *** off to put this thing together so I get kinda defensive when folks start bitching. The whole facists, **** thing is getting way overused these days.
In the end, you might win something good in the raffle and get paybakc plus more. There were tons of prizes and I won a $125 REspeed oil filler neck last year.

Damn...this sucks...I wish it could be a month later...I'm going to be just in the final stage of getting my degree(yea!)...Well I'll have to see if I can maybe try when get closer to the date(if my schedule is clear)...If not I will definitely be there next year!! I'll keep checking back!

I'm not trying to give excuses here about the fees.. But only way to make things easier (as people have complained about food in the past), this is the only way to resolve it. I've also organized it in a way so that those who register early would maximize saving and make it even cheaper than if they did things on their own...
For instance, Average meal at any of these lodge will cost around 20-25 dollars if you did it individually (I've checked with several lodges)... so say in average $20/meal x 3 = $60. T shirts in the past were around $10-15, and this year, I have to buy trophies for the car show and door prizes.. So, $60 per person at current registration fee (which ends 12/31/2007) is cheaper than if I didn't do the registration fee and let you guys deal with your own meals and just buy the shirts.. At this point, I'm not making a dime on it!!!
But starting New years, the cost goes up $10 more and that will go toward funding my car
, potential extra cost during the event, or recoop for my trip up there earlier this year to find the new location (2 nights, food, and gas).. But at the end, I know I'll never get paid for the time I spend on this event.. which is well over couple of hundred hours (last year I think I spent close to 3-400 hours)...
At the end, my goal is to get the rotorheads together so we could become closer as enthusiasts...
