SCORE!!! Picked up a set of Eibach springs and Tokico Struts on the cheap. They are used and all - but maybe help the Lemon handle a little better.
On the list to acquire:
1. margarita machine - Might not be able to buy this one out right, maybe someone will lend it to me if we take real good care of it???
2. gasoline leaf blowers (anyone in the Houston area have some for cheap?)
3. ACT pressure plate

We entered our 7 in a local cheap car race. Like lemons, but more types of racing, not endurance. Drag, oval, road race, and rallycross. It was a good time.

You can add at least .5 sec for the altitude. I ran a 16.8 on the brakes hard at the end cause I was way out in front. I think it could have run 16.6 on my last run w/out brakes.

I think we're the only team to ever go out on slicks!

Just reading through this, I know its a bit late but thanks Chuck. If it weren't for you we wouldn't have even made it. Car ran great for the test day and 1st race stint, but the motor lost the rear rotor sitting still... turned off during the driver change. Gotta make the best of it, blown motor or not. If I wasn't sick all weekend I would have had a beer or two or twelve with you guys.

We are hoping to get picked to race and par-tay!
Think you can resurrect the car in time? We are doing some super secret mods to our sled. *I* say drop your Lemon off at C2 Racing. At SOME point, Chucks mom will get pissed with it sitting in the yard and he will HAVE to fix your car!

We're done entering the car in Lemons (no more rotary engines!). Two buddies from our original Houston team have until Saturday to get it out our shop... then we get to decide if we're keeping it or parting it out.
My buds want to take it back to Houston but I doubt they'll come get the car. I definately want to come down for the race though.
How involved is a big block swap... I mean 13B? Probably easier to just buy 13B car huh?

^^^ Make a deal for the car??? I know if we had the trailer space last time.... we probably would already have it here. It would look great next to the lemon in my yard now.
Anyhoo - Chuck is the one to tell you for sure, but I think its not that difficult to go 13B. I know the front covers have to be swapped so you can mount the engine... but thats really as far as I know with 1st gens. Its been years since I had one and it was a 13B GSL-SE!

If we could carb the 13B easily... I'd be tempted.
