Well, yeah. If you're gonna vent the hood - use a real vent!

Lemony V-mounted intercooler and FC oil cooler:

If you have something thats scratched, dented, cracked and not really nice enough for a street car... tell us about it!

We might be able to use it!
I sold Chuck my old fart cannon exhaust to hopefully use on this gem of an FD you found in Plano

Chuck has claimed your fart cannon for his FD.

We actually ended up having someone sponsor us by supplying a new Tanabe Racing Medallion cat back exhaust. The rest of it is home made - albeit very nicely made.

Exhaust is budget exempt from the turbo back so no worries.

Wonder how long the brakes and tires will last.
Remember that this is a race not a drift contest.

Chuck's freeway entrance. He's better at sliding the car when it's on the trailer.

It took us forever to get home, drove about half the way on ice.

Planning on taking the FD to World Racing League when it hits TWS June 14-15.

Unfortunately, the FD came back from ECR with the transmission jammed in 4th. To add insult to insult, the block froze on the way back home as well. Adding water in the filler neck causes it to just come out the bell housing. Likely a blown freeze plug - and hopefully thats it.

SO, anyone want experience yanking and replacing a transmission? Working conditions are poor - you get to lay on a clean-ish sheet of plywood in my driveway.

Candidates will also get experience inspecting and replacing a freeze plug. If things end up super shitty - maybe even an engine pull to replace a cracked iron!

Pizza and Lone Star Beer will be served.

Basically the car is up on jackstands and the throwout bearing has been disconnected. Thats it. As usual we are right on schedule and not doing a thing.

Always can use wrench spinners. Feel free to PM and come get some.

I hate that camper but its a good kinda dry place to store race gear anyway.

If we DO race with the camper, it either:

A. gets mounted with bungee cords so it ends up in a million pieces on the track or

B. gets painted Pink Zebra Stripe!

Overall, its not as bad as the RX2.

Then again, nothing is as bad as the RX2.
