Jackass checkin in here.
Remember, I'm only 66.6% responsible for the 3 hour penalty.
What really sucks to me is that passing under yellow (and I only passed because the corner worker put the flag down for a second while he picked his butt or somethin) carries the same weight as any other penalty.
Seems like 4 wheel landscaping or trading paint are way worse.

Ok, thats kinda amazing. Believe it or not, my dad's first car (that he bought himself) was a RX-2. I am underterred about driving a RX-2, in fact that kinda makes it even more awesome.
As for the rear end and tranny - its a fairly low-torque motor still, so as long as you don't do drag starts hopefully it would hold up? Is it still the original equipment? If its an option, I have a NA mechanical LSD from a s4 rx-7 that I might let go for cheap for such a worthy cause. The plates are a bit worn, bit it still works well enough. I also have a NA transmission from the same car thats in good shape if the swap is even feasible.

Will the NA transmission hold the power??
Here is what happened last time we used the bridgeported motor with an NA transmission:
Seems to me the only logical thing to do is turbocharge the bridgeport (going to run FD twins or a GT4082 I have hanging around) and stuff it into the RX2!
Using an even older drivetrain from a car with less hp than an FC seems like a great idea!
If anyone has any sense, we probably should run a turbo transmission at the least. Anyone have any sense???
Nope!

Lol, I just saw the pictures of the car. Wow. That said, I've seen far worse run at Lemons. As for the transmission - yeah, turbo transmission would probably be a sound idea but an NA transmission would probably at least be better than the original, right? Although who knows.

Aren't the older transmissions supposed to be tougher? As I recall, the TII tranny is based on the pre-RX-7 transmissions with a 5th gear added.
The old live axle's seem to be pretty tough, too. When I was autocrossing, there was a local guy who ran the stock diff i his 355 V8-powered FB. Don't go drag racing and you might be OK.
