Whoop! We passed tech inspection and didn't get any penalty laps! I've got some videos that I streamed to my Qik account of the LeMons Judges giving us crap though, pretty funny!

I'm also going to be streaming live video while I'm driving tomorrow. Wanna ride shotgun in the LeMons car? Keep an eye on the site for live videos!

I was on the team with the camo s5 vert with the mad max front bumper. Many thanks to Chuck and team #6 for all the help with our early problems, we couldnt have kept it running as long as we did without you guys. Unfortunately we lost our coolant seals after only 16 laps. We're hoping to get a new shortblock in next couple of weeks and will defiitely be out at the Eagle's Canyon race in June. Hope to see ya'll there.

Here's some eye candy for you...

We are officially going to enter the Dallas Hooptie Race in June, we are excited! We are rolling out an FC, but not sure how ghetto-fabulous we are going to make it, we will keep you in the loop.

Awesome! It's great to see my rotary club isn't the only one running these cars in races these days.

Keep it up, good luck with the races coming up.

I am waiting on Scott to post about the race.

We finished 34 out of a 128 cars, we only had one black flag

Are down side is time in the hot pits (Driver changes and Fueling) it is taking us about 12 mins from first in to out the pits.

Thanks to everyone that came by, I had a very bad Friday night and Saturday morning when i went to the Emergency room for something i still dont know, started to throw up everything, and could not keep any fluids down. I was going to race first but then didnt know if i would race at all. Then I started to feel better and ran the 4th driver on Saturday.

Chuck

^^^ I want to do Lousyana. Sure gets expensive racing junk cars though.

Big expenses I can see are:

1. Just getting to the track and staying there.
2. Fueling the car - We burned in excess of 150 gallons of gas in two days.
3. Tires. The track is super abrasive. Will probably take 2 sets.
4. New transmission. The old one gave us a few problems and its kind of noisy. Would make a good spare but I don't want to depend on it lasting the next race.
5. New Brake pads, fluids, etc...
6. Usual drivers fees.

I estimate realistically between 600 and 700 a person depending if we take 4 or 5 drivers and only two months to raise it.

Plus unforseen expenses.

A car being over taken has no excuse to say that he did not see you coming with that brilliant paint job!

How were the water temps at high revs?

^^^ The temps would build up and I saw 220 degrees F on the el-cheapo water temp gauge when I pushed it hard.

Chuck said he never saw that high - but he drives like a girl.

I need some help here guys, I need to find a fabricator for a rollcage in the DFW area. The main issue is that I'm about 6'5" and Ive got an old 86 gxl. Im worried about head clearance. Are any of you tall like myself? I hate to say it, but I may be looking into getting a vert, lol.
