Good to know that an extra person or 2 won't be a problem. I listed 2 people on my registration, however, I found out that both my sis and her b/f have both been wanting a Rotor car for years. Both have told me to let them know WHEN I run across another, as they know I have a knack for finding things. No one ever mentioned liking these things, 'till I showed up with mine.
Even my step-dad has offered me my money back on my car. My mother had no idea he liked them. My Father has told me to make sure I keep it locked, or he might come steal it.
My Brother is the only one that doesn't seem to care for it, 'cause it's "Too loud". I told him he's too old.
Man, did I open a can of worms, or what??????? LOL

Well, we officially have 26 cars registered so far and still lots of time to go. Hand out them fliers guys....we only have 2 RX-8s registered...That would be sad to have just 2 of them considering they are the newest of all of us.

I think most of the people moved over to the carpet and tile place. I have been there about 4 times in hopes of seeing these "BIg" HP Poopras everyone's talking about but haven't see anything really great out there. I saw and FC out there...that was great

I've been out there a few times last year, only problem is between the posers and the attitudes there isnt much fun to have. Tell one of those supra guys you think their car is nice, and they get all haughty over the whole deal. Not my idea of a good time.

Oh, and this might be my first post to the rx7 club, so I'd like to say HELLO EVERYONE.

My 7 won't be able to make it but I will still be able to make it. The clutch in the 7 has crapped out sooner than I thought it would so I'm starting the teardown/rebuild sooner than I thought.

Well, you have about 5 weeks until the BBQ, hopefully, you can revive the 7 in time to bring it. If not, it will be missed.
Good luck

Somebody came into work today right before I left to give a flyer to anybody who had a rotary car. I told him I was all ready registered, but that's awesome that there's people just goin around to random shops handing out flyers. If I don't get off of work that day I just may quit. This is a big deal for me. It's like a family reunion only better.

surely if you tell them now you want that day off they can accomodate you. If they don't then you really shouldn't work for them

I talked to my second boss today. I have an installer boss and a store boss. The head installer, boss #2, told me I could probably get that day off if I just work every other day that week. The store boss was gone today so I'll try to remember to corner him tomorrow. Even if you can't run your car Friday or Saturday night you should come. I'd like to overwhelm the strip with rotary cars and see what everybody thinks of it. I bet they **** their pants. Just remeber a helmet this time Dave. [napoleon] Gawd! [/napoleon]

Good news. I somehow talked my parents into paying for the parts I need and they are just gonna tack them onto my car payments. I also talked them into letting me order the parts.

So yesterday I put in an order for a Streetlite ACT flywheel (12.9lbs) and a Racing Beat street/strip clutch. I also got a quote from a local shop here in Stillwater that will install pretty much anything you want. I'm dropping in my entire TII drivetrain that I have for $210 in labor.

Hopefully all this should get done next weekend when I have the parts in.

No not quite. I'm having the Turbo drivetrain put in. I still need to rebuild and engine and build it up for a turbo.

By the time of the BBQ I should hopefully have the flywheel, clutch, turbo drivetrain, my TII hood painted, and maybe some other goodies.

The RX8 group from DFW just got back from a trip to Austin and had an absolute blast. May 28 is my 20th anniversary and my oldest daughter grads that weekend. Otherwise I would be in. We had a great time in Austin so I would not doubt it if some of them would go to the Tulsa meet. Everybody is pretty pumped up over there on the 8 forum over Austin and talking about going again. This would be perfect for a round two.

Do you work at Cartoys? If yes, then that was me
