Sorry, you're too slow to catch up

Speaking of meets... I guess I need to start the thread for next month already.

Ya know, trying to keep up with you guys on our cruises with a stock turbo (even if it is an s5 turbo) is probably what wore her out. Brakes first, then turbo diagnosis. This is my first turbo car (and rotary too) and I would LOVE it if anyone ever wanted to volunteer to help diagnose the issue(s) I have of not being able to boost past 2psi. Stop laughing...I know you all are

Can prob make it to the next Saturday meet, but this weekend I'm changing pads and rotors. Crunching sounds from the rear wheels does not make me happy. Nor does the rapid drain in my bank account

Meh screw it, if I don't have a girlfriend, I'd much rather spend my money on the 7.

Sounds similar to Jac-wee's issue... the wastegate got stuck open due to rust build up I believe she said.

Oh and about sinking money into a 7 vs a girl.... at least you know the 7 will appreciate it regardless of what it is you get for it as well as doing whatever you want with it whenever.

I start school on June 8th and I will be in class every Tuesday and Thursday for about 5 weeks. I would like to do something like this every week though.

Even if you had a gf, a RX7 will treat you better

Not with my busted up Protege! The 7 isn't rolling anywhere today.... its a nice loud grinding from the rear caliper/rotor. Bought pads a couple months ago, and new rotors last weekend. Its easier to spread the cost of maintenance over time so I don't take such a large hit all at once.

But I'll look into the wastegate operation.... sounds likely, but like Jacqui said...

We don't park in the lot in front of londoner, we park in the lot behind it so no one knows what we drive My 7 isn't a looker..... although Ray wants to steal it now that he knows I have manual windows.

Well I think I know what the problem is, I've actually run into this before. I circled it in the pic below, differenct color/year but you should still be able to figure it out.

Git rid of that bit there and you're all good.
