That inlet manifold has an interesting effect on the tq curve given the boost is flat as you mentioned. Good numbers for the power its 58rwhp up on a T2 block street port running normal intake manifolds and a small TO4S turbo at same peak power revs on the same dyno type (pump fuel 100%, street 3" exhaust and air filter attached 473raxelhp @ same boost).

PS your fab is great, being a machinist myself can appreciate it

nice job for first up TIG too !

I've been noticing similar effects with the same type of intake manifold designs.
It's mainly due to the plenun.
The secret though is to keep carrying the power to much higher rpms to compliment the high torque peak.

it reads about 10% lower from what we've seen so far. I must say from what ive seen that both dynos are very consistent, just not with each other. My car made 12 more rwhp at rx7store with 2 less psi (from 360->372). another FD broke the 300whp mark on the rx7store dyno while it only made 280 or so on the defined dyno a few weeks earlier (the exact number escapes me).

nate, the car is nice. i need a ride in it when the alternator isnt being a ho.

Sadly, and surprisingly yes. I had my hands full to keep the tune just right to avoid any weak spark events. Nice vid though, glad to see it kicking butt!

nice video ty, nate's car sounds super weird on it for some reason. like, a sound you'd hear on an atari. it sounds sweet in person though so who cares.

Talent clearly shows... and nice numbers :-)

Just not clear on one thing...
Video states 398rwt ..... I believe it to be wrong since torque barely went past 300.
Strange how your torque is peaking exactly same rpm as horsepower, usually a clear indication of boost creep but with that custom intake things change.

What happened after 7600rpm?
horsepower curve took quite a drop.

Enjoy the new found horsepower:-)
