WTF, why will this not work!? Oil injector related:

If you have a failed oil injector, in which air can flow out (away from the rotor housing), why can't you just put a one way check valve there? I tried and it DOES NOT WORK. The check valve just becomes worthless, I don't get it. Shouldn't the air that is being let in or out by the bad valve in the oil injector be stopped or let pass by the new one way check valve in place? I tried it on both a failed FD and FC TII oil injector. It's very likely I'm just an idiot , but can someone help me out. Thanks

I just bought 2 brand new injectors from mazdatrix today for $28.83 each.
I didn't want to risk running the stock oil injectors on my brand new engine.
Just get new ones and forget the check valve.
Good Luck

Evan,
You gotta think of what kind of pressure and intense heat generated by the combustion process that is coming out of the check valve orifice since it is directly connected to the combustion chamber. A plastic check valve wouldn't be able to handle the extremity involved even though it is such a small orifice. Which is why mazda used metal valves originally.
