why am I boosting too much?
K here is my situation: I got a pettit racing motor just put in my xs, yes i know, i have heard quite a few bad things about them but i'm praying that I am an exception. well anyways they put it in it runs beautiful and i broke in in over 500miles and i decided to go above 4k now. I changed my rev limiter to 7600 and checked my boost lvls which read:
1. .50 2%
.50 2%
2. .85 62%
.90 64%
B4 i went into xs setting 1 is what i changed to change my boost lvls. when i saw this i thought ow maybe they switched it to setting 2.... Ne ways i put setting 2 to .85 and 62% for both of them and went driving. When i started boosting in third at about 4.5 i would hit 1.10bar and its as if i hit the rev limiter, the fuel gets cut, i'm assuming. Now i have no idea why it is doing this. why am I creeping in soooo much boost? And i'm assuming that the fuel is getting cut because i'm creeping too much boost.
I have a PFC cammander single turbo street port 850cc prim and 1600cc secs and walbro fuel pump.
One thing that I am thinking is that my boost control unit is broken.

if you have the XS single turbo kit check to see if the wastegate is working properly. A problem with many external wastegates is that they sometimes get stuck shut causing boost problems. My friend has their T04S kit and the same eexact thing happened to his car and it was because a nut inside the wastegate worked itself loose under repeated abuse so that the wastegate wasn't opening all the way.

Lol you have no idea. It was just like hitting the rev limiter on my parents suburban a couple years back.
