How big is the hot side on the T51R KAI? I've seen it in person and it looked pretty small...

 

Yeah it is deceiving...

The Kai has the same spec as the GT42R which looks a lot bigger.

Turbine 82 wheel, AR 1.00, only choice you have with the HKS, Garrrett offers up to 1.44 AR

 

A/R is bigger on the GT42R as well as being ball bearing and the most important feature being a T6 frame with 2" runners flow a hell of alot more air than the T4 footprint.

 

The scoot car is a peripheral port with primaries on the centre plate, not a cross port engine, it made 710 with T51 spl at 2.1 kg/cm3.
I posted a dyno sheet earlier this year fc with T51 spl that did 619 on pump gas.
ARF has peripheral port car with a 100 shot that did 850 with the spl.
Saturday night I cruising in a rb26 wagon with t51 kai.. 700 hp on pump gas, nice ride but the baby seat back was kinda crimping my style...

 

I may be able to swallow the 710 at 2.1 bar on the PP port (still farfetched) , but the 619 on pump (2 rotor?) IF so BULLSH#%T.

 

The sheet was posted, and it was done on pump gas on a 2 rotor...You can buy the movie about the scoot car from option complete with its top speed trials and dyno runs, and see it for yourself...In fact if you dont believe it then, the scoot car is currently for sale, buy it and dyno it yourself..

 

Actually, an SPL will do over 700whp on a rotary...

 

No need to blow it up, it will do what you want.

I have an SPL on a RB26, and I am getting a GT47-88mm for my 13B and 20B

I have seen many dynos of 2JZ and RB26 do 900-1000whp at 2bar.

It all depends on your ports and tuning.

 

9 days until we turn the boost up and see what the T51R KAI will do.

Open exhaust at the downpipe

Giganumous port job

Lots of fuel

Going to have Steve Kan take it up until it won't go anymore or breaks.

Should make for a eventful day

Yeah, the dyno is in the same building as "THE PENTHOUSE CLUB". I doubt we'll disturb the local gan-bangers, hobos and east St.Louis hookers.

 

221 whp @ 34 psi on that turbo =P

 

with my luck, it wouldn't suprise me.....

we're going to shoot for as much power as the turbo will allow.
