WOW Xcessive!!! That is insane! And to think I was eventually thinking about getting one of those some day! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, but so releived that I did or it would have been me as well...

Anyways, it seems that twins are the way to go, I'm on www.a-t-s-usa.com right now and they claim the ATS twin holds 700hp (don't know how they get this since it should be rated in torque) and the pressure plate is only 1100kg. The single clutch will hold up to 520hp but using a 1600kg pressure plate, so I guess the twin would be lighter maybe? Anyone have info on where to get ATS products for the FD? I don't really trust this website and I can't find an FD application there.

Edit: I found some info on the site for pedal force with the FD and the 1100kg plate is the same as stock supposedly. Still can't find any info on the actual product or application though, I think this is obviously not an official site...anyone know what the official site is? or what the best (cheapest ) place to get these products??? Let's here from some Japanese on this one!

well i have had a lot of fortune with the clutchmaster clutches on my turbo acura so figured using it on the rx and its seems to hold up nicely!!! plus the clutch pedal is actually softer them the stock clutch. i heard its because the actually change the pivot point on the pressure plate for more leverage. i ll have to see how well it holds up tho its been on for about a month and is fine so far.

I ran 400rwhp for four years with the same centerforce dual friction clutch- no probs....ever. Then again, I never put my et streets on the car. If yours always slipped then it may have been installed incorrectly.

Anyone ever use stuff from clutchnet.com? They have two clutch disks with sprung hubs that would work, the 6-puck segmented and the carbon ceramic segmented (holds 500hp they said). There's always the Cusco twin plate ($1300 or so). The ATS carbon stuff was EXPENSIVE. I think the twin plate was $1700 and the triple was $2400. The triple is brand new and has been out only a month in Japan.

My personal experiences, ACT HD and organic disk...lasted four runs at the strip before it started to slip with 340rwhp. I "upgraded" to the Extreme pp and organic disk. Held, but didn't like the strip. Any slippage and it overheated. Still have this clutch in with the monster GT79 and it holds just fine on the street. Doesn't like the track at all.
Both were purchased from SR Motorsports along with the lightweight flywheel.

I am looking at getting setup witha TO4S. Would a 6 puck w heavy duty not the extreme pressure plate be good with that setup? Since I will not have the HP of the bigger turbos alot of you are running. Or should I do the Extreme and be on the safe side incase I want more power later on?
