What boost level? What is 'big power'? A mild street port is the last thing you need, and you dont necessarily need 3mm seals........

I think you should spend some time browsing and reading the Single Turbo section:

https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo-rx-7s-23/post-your-single-turbo-setup-33502/

You can see what setups are giving what performance and then balance the performance you would like with your budget.

So what is your car going to be used for? If you want to auto x, or drift then you dont need big power cause you dont want that spike around a turn, but if drag and just messing around on the street is all your gonna do then you could do a big turbo.

But i agree with mahjik about reading and searching.

I would go non-seq and port the wastegate, 1300cc secondaries, FMIC, Ignition, Full exhaust

Then run around at 15psi

Enough to take SRT-4's and Mustangs while still having a nice DD.

Ya, sounds like you should go with a apexi rx-6 turbo or a HKS t04e

I would do a large street port on it if you want to make big power. And you are gonna have to do 850cc and 1620cc injectors with a fuel pump. i would stick with 2mm apex seals. I put down490rwp at 20PSI on my T78. PLEANTY fast

if you're totally set on having a T51r, then you might as well bridgeport your block. you're not gonna get full spool til 4500 rpm. if you're running a turbo that size, you need the works.

stand alone
850/1600s and fpr
a good fuel pump, or two walbros
twin power
good fmic
etc.

i would say this setup is a bit of an oxymoron for what you're trying to make you're car into.

So basically you'll need at least a... full tank of gas. Yep, that should about do it.

500 horsepower isn't going to happen on pump gas.

Perhaps you should look into auxiliary injection as well.
