Question What is the model

First of all id like to say hi, as this is my first post id like to introduce myself. My name is Dave and Iam from Liverpool UK. I have been interested in the drift scene for some time now and have always wanted an FD3.
I have just imported a little gem from a tuning company in Tokyo, but Iam not 100% sure both of its spec or capability’s. What I am sure of, is that I have 2 high power GTRs and they cannot keep up with this little thing.

Attached is a pic of the turbo, I know its a Garret with .60 A/R but can anyone tell me which model is it. Iam aware its not that big as far as tubs go but it appears to be putting out a tremendous amount of power even at 6psi.

Please excuse the water marks, my cap is leaking lol.

Thanks Dudes and I look foward to many hours of banter in the not so distant future

Welcome to the forum .

I recommend you clean up your engine bay, it's in pretty bad condition. All of that dust, dirt, and rust may lead to future problems. The first thing is to get and install a pair of fender liners, that will help keep the engine bay clean.

Cleaning the bay is on my list of things to do, the covers were removed to assist with heat removal, the brown stains was due to a faulty rad cap which has been replaced.

To be honest thou, this car is a track car so dirt, dings and scrathes are what it is all about unlike my other cars I dont mind it looking a mess.

Do you have any clues to the turbo type????

Thanks

The turbo looks like a garrett T04E, I used to have one and it looked just like that one, same size and markings on the comp. housing. You can take the comp housing off and measure the inducer and exducer and check majestic turbos' site for wheel specs to tell for sure. www.majesticturbo.com

Someone else has said it was the same sort of size to a TD04 but was not actually a TD04. I need to know really because of future upgrades.

Like I said, take the comp housing off and measure the wheel and count the blades, then you can gather more info. Its really hard to tell some turbos just by looking at the comp housing.

definitely not a TD04, those are small mitsubishi turbos. looks like it might be a TO4E. i had a t04e also and the compressor housing looked like that. be no one can tell for sure unless we see the WHOLE turbo and wheel.
