What (if anything) should I use on this turbo gasket?

This is my first turbocharger and I'm wondering what kind of sealant should I use on the gasket between the bearing housing and the drain line flange. Or is it too hot for any sealant to be used there? And thats just paint flaking off of the matting surface.

You don't need any, just use a new gasket and torque to the spec. It's just a drain line anyway so its not under oil pressure.

Make sure the oil drain points down, too.
