What hose clamps for silicone lines?

Right now I'm using a combination of wire ties and worm clamps. The worm clamps tend to chew all the way through the hose if you try to get them tight. I don't trust the wire ties.

Something like an OEM-type spring that's smooth all the way around, but not 20 years old and lacking springiness would be neat. What do you guys use?

EDIT: Just found the hose clamps with the liner on the inside. What say you of those?

which sort of silicone lines? If your speaking of the sili vac lines then the only clamps you can really use are the OEM type spring clamps, I think they are called "charley" clamps in parts stores

Are you talking about the small vacuum lines? I find the real silicone lines don't need a clamp (most clamps aren't tiny enough for a vacuum line anyway). On mine I can't tell you how many times I smacked my hand on something trying to pull a vacuum line off. The real silicone is very grippy and soft. If they are a little small for the nipple and require some effort to put them on, they aren't going to come off. Maybe some extreme boost levels might but in my own experiences 15PSI is yet to blow one off.

Yeah, small vacuum lines and large vacuum lines....

WAY too small for a T-bolt.

Some of the lines fit really snug, some of them not so much.

Running a 4 foot long line with one end 6" off the ground attached to the wastegate and the other in the engine bay with no clamps just makes me nervous, even if nothing bad would happen.

I'll probably start looking for the spring type...didn't know what they were called, thanks for that.

Stuff I have is real silicone, it's from hosetechniques.

they make very small t-bolts also. if not you could always run a.n. fittings on all your vacuum lines. its pricey but i would never go back now.

This is going to sound really retarded... but use Krazy Glue. Seriously. When you put Krazy Glue on silicone lines, it sticks on there but it's not too tight. You can still pull it off with some effort, but without having to cut the line. Now if you put Krazy Glue on a fuel/emissions line (same stuff that Autozone sells) it practically welds the line on there and you will have to cut it.

I had friend who used to run 30psi on his 3000GT and he swore by it. I didn't believe in it fully until I tried it myself.

I use zip ties. All the lines connect to a hose barb so there is really no way for the line to come off with a tight zip tie. When I need the line off Ijust cut the tie. Simple enough and holds 23 psi no problem.
