I just don't want to have to change maps completely for a completely different turbo with completely different spool characteristics.
I would expect any high-quality turbine to flow better than a cheapie Master Power turbo, resulting in lean cells across the board. I think VE is going to be a bigger problem than spooling characteristics. Attempting to avoid retuning is just wishful thinking IMO, but good luck with it anyway.

... as would the Turbonetics T70, lol.

I can tell you this much.

I've heard of more than a handful of master power turbo failures that had "proper" oiling (-4an feed, vertical -10an drain) that had shaft WOBBLE and had wheel on housing contact.

You can view direct links on the web, youtube....etc... I've personally seen 2 fail on 7mgte supras that are somewhat local to me. Great oil pressure, proper feeds.

I have NEVER heard of an ebay t70 doing anything more than possibly blowing a smidge of oil past the seals. One case was fixed with a -3an feed and the other was fixed with running thicker oil.

I keep saying "ebay". I mean CDM or "chinese domestic market". Sorry.

It's only $200. I've been talking to a certain cdm vendor asking questions about using aftermarket 360* thrusts and changing wheels, anti surge porting...the usual. in the event you do need to rebuild your turbo you can use higher quality parts. More on this later.

Personally, i'm willing to shell out $350 for a gt3582 non ball bearing spec cdm shortly and seeing how it does.

Doubtful a turbonetics t70 would do you like your master power did and it's sad a cdm turbo outperforms something that is supposed to be halfway decent in the longevity department.

The Turbonetics T70 will fair better than a Masterpower. Some guys have good luck with the MP turbos, but lots have early failures. I personally believe in paying a bit more for quality than will last.

Either the Tnetics or BW will work great for you, and theyre rated for very similar power levels (T70 vs S366).

was the shaft play like that when you put it on the car or did you check since it was new???

I had someone attempt me to buy these turbos but seeing someone with a tune take 24psi before it even hit the 500hp mark made me decide very quickly

Me? Oh heck no. I wouldn't want to deal with that South American piece of junk. Also, I probably would not buy anything that didn't have a compressor map.

Believe it or not, I'll be just fine without your self righteous posts

I just reread over your posts. They didn't seem to self righteous, I guess you're just one of those internet entities that rub me the wrong way. Sorry
