wastegate venting at idle

For some reason, since I moved my setup to my 10th AE, my wastegate (which is open-air vented) is constantly open, even at idle. I haven't been able to push the car yet, as I haven't tuned the Haltech yet, but this is very irregular.

Any ideas?

what wastegate are you using? if you are using one of those two port external wastegate, you need to connect the 2nd port too. You probably only have the top hooked up, so the idle vacume is sucking the valve open.

it's Trust 42mm wastegate. I haven't opened it up, so the spring is still in there. It's only a single port 'gate.

It is also possible that it is slightly stuck open with a piece of carbon or other object. Also, wastegates can stick open if they are not regularly used. I would pull the gate, check to see if open and clean. This is of course you have confirmed it is not hooked up wrong.

Even if NOTHING is hooked up (vacuum lines) the gate should be closed. I would say its broken

Pull it off the car and have a look....

where is the exhaust venting from? the actual wastegate exhaust port, or the cap? Find out where it is leaking first

It's coming from the wastegate exhaust port. I called Greddy, and they said to adjust the nut on top of the cap. I loosened the nut nd turned the screw in some and out some, but no change.
