Hello once agin , I hav a 1993 Fd S6 -
I hav A Major Wastegate Issue my WG Valve is Missing .
The Apexi Isamu rx6 was On the car when I got the car in
2002/3 ok . So there was a bad rx6 turbo , Bad Automatic
Tranny and sum wiring issues witch are issues in a
Rx7 world lol

So the turbo gets way upgraded to a TO4z T67
Replaced the automatic with a Automatic lol
it was cheaper To keeper auto tell this one blows

So as all this is goning on a sum how my tech tells me
My WaStegate is Valve has gone Missing ... ? Im like What
Missing ? It was there when I brought my car to his Home ..

So I start my Rx7 and see exhaust puffing out the Wg nipples
So pull it to find No Valve for pressure regulating the boost

So I hav a Apexi 50mm Wg with No ! Valve in it !!!!

And I'm Not Confussed with the Diapham . Ok

So the issue is there's no Valve in my Wastegate Can sum1 and all help please

sucks..buy a new wastegate?..all I can think of.

 

Does that wastegate have a valve seat gasket/seal? I doubt the whole valve is just missing. It would have to be disassembled for that.

previous owner prob took it out to keep it from building boost. just buy another wg

This is a picture of the op's WG that was sent to me.




My suggestion would be to either see if it can be sent in for repair or depending on cost buy a new one. If you bought a new WG you would have to stick with the same model you have, otherwise some fab work will be needed to weld on different flanges for other WG brands.
