Using Nitrous Jets as oil line restrictors.
Using Nitrous Jets as oil line restrictors.
How many people out there have used nitrous jets to make their own oil restrictors?
I got a couple jets from the shop a few days ago, and I installed the jet on top of the 1/8" NPT fitting at my turbo and then reconnected the female adaptor onto it.
When I start the car the oil pressure is a little lower than before, but after I rev the car up a couple times, it goes back up to its normal reading. I'm thinking that since there isn't anything physically holding the jet onto the top of the fitting at my turbo that it actually begins to float on the oil once the pressure builds up and effectivly doesn't do anything at all.
Some people have been saying that I can get an adaptor with an AN thread pitch, but without the actual point at the top so I could slide the jet into it and then when the AN hose end was attached, it would actually hold the jet in place properly.
Anyone have experience with this?
