Turbo Timer
#2
I had a turbo timer on my 88 T2, but I have since come to the realization that it served little purpose. They are intended to help prolong turbo life, but I don't think they are useful when you have a turbo with a water-cooled center section. The 88 T2 has a water-cooled center section, and thus a turbo timer is not useful.
A turbo timer has zero effect on how much boost you get. If you want more boost, a turbo timer won't help you.

yes
a boost controller controls boost
a turbo timer keeps the engine idling after you take out the key so the turbo has a chance to cool down
i hope you know what your doing. turning up the boost without knowing what your doing can blow the engine.
