I know I need a new fuel pump for the mods that I am having installed, but which is better an in-line with the stock fuel pump of simply a replacement upgraded in-tank fuel pump? What's the benefits and drawbacks for each type?

yep a $95 walbro from ebay will do the job nicely

 

in tank runs cooler and quieter.
