turbo storage

is there any better way of storing my single turbo untill i'm ready to put it on? Right now I have it in a box with some news paper. Is there anything I should do to protect the oil seals and what not?

Nah, just the usually "keep in a cool dry" area recommendation.&nbsp Keep Node's cats away from the thing - cat hairs are evil!

Really? Just set it aside with no oil in it?

I put a little fogging oil (oil specially designed for storing engines) in the oil inlet and drain and spun it a few times. Just to be sure. Not that it matters, looking at it the other day I noticed that one of the compressor blades is a little bent. (!) Oh well, worked fine before!

The turbos should have been assembled with some type of assembly oil, so the internals are supposed to be lightly lubricated.&nbsp If your shop doesn't use assembly oil, I'd highly suggest to find a new one.
