divided flange

How well would this work with a cast undivided manifold?

 

It may work for a while, but I wouldn't want to run a divided turbine housing on an undivided manifold. I have seen cracked exhaust housings from this (cracked on the divided flange going up into the turbine wheel area) and on piston motors, I'd imagine the heat from a rotary would be worse. Just my experience, maybe someone with more knowledge can answer definitively.
