Turbo Oil Feed Location?

where do you guys get your oil from that feeds the turbo? I've have an FC and am debating where or not to use the Oil line that is already there or go back to the block. If I go from the block to the turbo what the heck size is that banjo bolt? Its not a 1/8NPT or 1/4NPT.

Also, does anyone know what a 8mmx1.25mm will convert into so I can attach a -10AN line to it?

As a banjo bolt, really small.... like -2AN or -3AN. What's it from?

I'm trying to get this whole oil system worked out, thus far i have this.

The feed spot on the block is a 5/16 NPT, but I haven't been able to find a 5/16 to -4AN fitting. The inlet on the turbo is a 1/8 NPT and I have found a 1/8 to -4AN adaptor. I'm going to use of course a -4 AN steel line to feed the turbo.

Right now I'm trying to find a way to get the oil out of the turbo back into the pan. I've found this
http://checkout.verisign.com/cgi-bin...9708&2D2182809
which looks perfect, I want to use two of those, one on the turbo and one on the factory dump tube, but I can't find what size the whole is.

Be sure not to oversupply oil to that turbo and make sure the return as big as possible, -10 minimum ... otherwise it may smoke.

I'm not sure that -4 is too big for the supply, but you may want to run a restriction orifice.

I emailed ATP they say that the flange has a 1/2NPT fitting, so I'll use a 1/2 to -10AN to drain the the oil.

I figure -4AN will probley be ok for a feed, at least I hope so

I run -4 AN oil feed.
Anything larger and it smoked too much.

My return is enormous -12, I believe

Thumbs up

I got the same flanges from ATP. They are nice. I am currently doing my oil lines also. I saw a banjo fitting on a site ( now I cannot find) It had a 4 AN fitting on the end which would be perfect. It has been so long ago, still researching.
Good Luck

for oil feed take the banjo fitting and saw off the male output nozzle. buy a steel straight dash four and saw off the male fitting and weld it to the banjo fitting. presto! connect some dash four line to the banjo fitting and to the 1/8 npt- dash four into the turbo. it is generally believed that dash four line is too big as to oil supply to your turbo. i recommend a holley carb jet drilled out to .08 of an inch. drop it into the oil galley and measure for clearance. buy some small metric washers to clearance the jet and the fitting.
