that is true, that's alot of heat going in to an area that has already seen mucho heat from previous welding. spacers are like 20 bucks i think. you can get away with one spacer on the stock studs but it is best to get longer ones. nothing crazy

+1.. my compressor housing almost sat touching the intake manifold.. but the hotside had plenty of room... Id be more concerned with heat from the hotside sitting that close though... Maybe a turbo blanket would work..?

I've heard some people say that and then I've heard other people say it's ok. The person that said it was ok has www.wwrturboinjection.com and has plenty of fast cars that he says all have ceramic coated housings and a blanket with no problems.
