turbo almost touching lower w/p housing??

turbo almost touching lower w/p housing??

just finished installing an hks "fc3s" cast manifold, and when i mount the turbo, the compressor is just about almost touching the lower outlet of the water pump housing. The turbo is a t04r the engine is a s5 motor. anyone's help on this issue would be greatly appreciated

if its not touching than whats the issue?

Did you use the water pump housing from an NA?

it is almost touching to the point where the clearance between the turbo and the w/p outlet is less than 10mm....i cant get the bottom hose on

10 MM is plenty of clearance, why can't you get the hose on

10 mm is .45 inch, should be plenty of space. the average hose is 5 mm in thickness meaning you should hve about 5mm left for clearance purposes. the radiator hose will be hotter than the compressor cover itself, so its not like you have to worry about overheating the hose or burning a hole in it.

is it just a location, thing? try it from the bottom it is much easier.

Thanks for the advice guys....i finally got it fixed and the turbo mounted. It wasnt as bad as i thought, the turbo presses into the hose a little bit, but i looks to be okay.
