Just started my car with the new single setup...

So I started my car for the first time in 4 months this weekend after a lot of work. The car was 99% stock when I bought it in September last year. All it had was a koyo radiator and pettit ast, then I did a bit of work to prep the car for the first track day (normal stuff like downpipe, boost and water temp gauges, brake lines/pads/fluid, air pump removal, and a power fc/datalogit). Now the final setup (at least engine setup as of now):

Garrett T04R Ball Bearing (.84 A/R)
Tial 46mm W/G
Tial 50mm BOV
Exoticspeed Manifold
A-Spec 4" Turboback exhaust (had to modify to fit my setup)
HKS V-Mount I/C
Dual 19row Oil Coolers w/ thermostat
Removed A/C and PS (Sent my steering rack off to Maval)
RX7store fuel system (550/1680cc injectors, Aeromotive FPR, etc)
Denso fuel pump
...etc (other stuff like removed emissions, cruise, double throttle, etc etc)

The funny thing is..I was tuning the idle and resting rev range with the car parked in my garage, when I hear someone come up to my house and says..

"excuse me, but I like 8 houses up the block and can't sleep because your car is too loud...is it not running right or something"
I tell him, "well no, it isn't running right at all, if I drive the car like it is I might blow it up...but I'm really sorry it is bothering you, so I'll stop for the night"
so he returns, "thank you, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you did it during the day instead" and left
Now, i'm not an ******* and really did feel kinda bad...except for the fact that it was only 6:30 PM and had just gotten dark out. But, I still think it is funny that I already had someone come by and complain. Never once happened with my old FD.

And here are a few pics..this is when it was almost all put together.

I just got in for tuning it for a bit. My idle is much better and the cruise speed/light load/0-3psi ranges are actually usable now. Drives so much better that I think I will take it to the gym later.

lol...it was about 1900 shipped...it was worth it to me because it has the smoother flowing intercooler inlets than 95% of the v-mount setups out there. Something about knowing fluid dynamics and seeing the "dead end" end tank design that bothered me. Sure it might not make much difference in performance, but it still bothered me.

Great Job!
It's very rewarding is'nt it? Looks like a well built and thoughtout setup. Especially for the turn around time

Thanks. I guess I am just trying to get it right the second time....not that the first was bad, cause it was beautifully built, but you learn from your experiences. I had 3 years without an FD to think about what I wanted in my next one. The car is very similar in some ways to the old one, but very different at the same time. (V-mount vs. front mount, ball bearing turbo vs. journal bearing turbo, dual oil coolers vs. stock setup, non-daily driver vs. daily driver, tuning myself, etc etc).

There are still a few things that I would like to do to make this better...mainly closing off any gaps in the airflow path to the intercooler/radiator/oil coolers. It will definitely suffice the way it is, but can still be improved upon.
