I run a rx7store/ebay manifold with a masterpower T61 turbo 0.96 a/r . it spools the same as a few borg warner 66mm turbos. maybe need to change?
will the 0split help alot with spool up?

Have you tried improving flow ? , Exhaust most importantly. What size is your Downpipe, What size is the flange at the hotside ( turbine) on the turbo. Full exhaust size ?
Might be easier to gain a few hundred RPM spool by tweaking the exhaust then playing with timming ( of course, once you maximize the exhaust system , then tuning can help )

ok, been thinking to upgrade igntion system, I already have my ems stinger running a ems 4 coil igniter to 4 msd ss blaster coils,
was thinking to use:
2x msd 6a box just for the leading and trailing leave run just of the igniter
or
ems cdi system?
or
2x msd hvc box to my msd blaster coils only for leading
I myself think keep it simple , the msd 6a should work just fine for my 20-22 psi max goal?
any opinions

ok been a while.
long story short, hbp engine died found water in the rear rotor all apex seal are still in there place.
so bought s stock engine changed the seals and gaskets, and ready to start over again. but this time it's a stock port engine or pretty much a complete stock engine with 2 piece mazda apex seals.
also bought a pre turbo water injection kit from brent.
i'm going to try 20 psi on this engine, hopefully you guys can help this noobie with tuning.
first question

take a look at the port timing setting, who here can tell me if they are good for a stock port engine? i had this with my hbp engine tune.
any help

as I was explaining on the tuning group,
in the Stinger EMS the "port timing" thing is not an actual setting in the ECU. It is a visualization tool to help you see overlap and injection timing. This is actually a "start of injection" timing map.
To make a long explanation short, there's no easy way to tune this and you would be fine leaving it alone. The Power FC has no injection timing maps so it is a mystery to me how they calculate it. The Haltech has an "end of injection" base map to advance injection timing as rpm increases. AEM EMS can advance injection timing but the map is zero'd out by default.

Been a while in this thread. just got my car tuned by salvatech a puerto rican tuner and the difference is night and day, car drives smooth and boost builds up nice and smooth. will post dyno later.
Engine is stock port with just goopy apex seals nothing else. 387hp @18psi i told him safe tune nothing agressive
